Cat Trentham Rowing

Last Updated: 30 June 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Cat Trentham Rowing website and the purchase and use of any products or services provided by Cat Trentham Rowing. By purchasing a product or service, booking a session, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Cat Trentham Rowing is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom.

2. Services

Services may include, but are not limited to:

• Custom rowing and fitness coaching programmes
• Indoor rowing coaching
• Technique development sessions
• Strength training support
• Digital training plans
• Educational resources and digital products

All services are provided subject to availability.

3. Eligibility

Custom coaching services are available to individuals aged 13 and over.

Clients under the age of 18 must have the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.

For junior athletes receiving custom coaching, login details for any coaching platform should also be accessible to a parent or guardian.

For in-person technique development sessions involving clients under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must remain present throughout the session.

4. Payments

All services must be paid for in advance.

Monthly coaching subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis until cancelled.

Subscription payments are collected on the agreed billing date each month.

Payments are non-refundable except as set out in these Terms (for example, where Cat Trentham Rowing cancels a session) or where a refund is required by law.

Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of services.

5. Coaching Subscriptions

Custom coaching is provided as an ongoing monthly service. The service includes programme design, coaching support, feedback, and any additional features included within the selected package. Monthly fees cover access to the service during the subscription period and are not dependent on the amount of communication, feedback requests, or sessions completed by the client. Unused coaching time, support, feedback opportunities, or programme reviews cannot be carried forward into future billing periods.

If Cat Trentham Rowing discontinues a subscription service, clients will be given reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund for the unused part of the current billing period.

6. Cancelling a Coaching Subscription

Clients may cancel a coaching subscription at any time. Where a client cancels their own subscription through the website or payment platform, a minimum of 72 hours' notice before the next payment date is required. Where a client asks Cat Trentham Rowing to process the cancellation on their behalf, a minimum of 14 days' notice before the next payment date is required. Failure to provide the required notice may result in the next scheduled payment being collected.

7. Pausing a Coaching Subscription

Clients may request to pause a coaching subscription. Requests made directly by the client through the relevant platform must be submitted at least 72 hours before the next payment date. Requests requiring Cat Trentham Rowing to manually process the pause must be submitted in writing at least 14 days before the next payment date. Approval of pause requests remains at the discretion of Cat Trentham Rowing.

8. Technique Development Sessions
Sessions are booked for a specific date and time, are paid for in advance, and are personal to the client - they cannot be transferred to anyone else. To cancel or reschedule, clients must contact Cat Trentham Rowing by email; notice is counted from when the message is received.

More than 48 hours' notice: Sessions are non-refundable, including where the client changes their mind or their circumstances change. The session may instead be rescheduled once, to another available date within six months of the original date, subject to availability. A rescheduled session cannot be moved again or refunded, and if it is not completed within that period the fee is forfeited.

Less than 48 hours' notice, no-show, or leaving early: the full session fee is forfeited.

Late arrival: sessions end at the scheduled time, so late arrival results in a shorter session rather than the full service. Arriving more than 30 minutes late without notice will be treated as a no-show.

If Cat Trentham Rowing cancels a session, the client will be offered a full refund or a reschedule at no additional cost.

Bookings are also subject to the cancellation policy shown at checkout, completion of the required health form, and the signed Liability Waiver & Informed Consent. Clients are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and any other personal costs of attending.

9. Digital Products

Digital products are provided through third-party platforms; training plans through ErgZone, and the e-book through Amazon/Kindle. Any purchase and access is made on those platforms and is subject to their own terms and refund policies.

10. Health and Medical Information

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information regarding their health, injuries, medical conditions, medications, exercise history, and any other factors that may affect participation in exercise. Clients must inform Cat Trentham Rowing of any changes to their health status that may affect training. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the suitability and safety of coaching services. Cat Trentham Rowing reserves the right to refuse, modify, suspend, or terminate services where health, safety, or welfare concerns arise.

11. Participation in Exercise

Participation in exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. By participating in any coaching service, training programme, or exercise session, clients acknowledge and accept these risks. Clients participate voluntarily and are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to undertake exercise. If there is any doubt regarding suitability for exercise, clients should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before participating.

12. No Guarantee of Results

Cat Trentham Rowing does not guarantee specific results, including but not limited to performance improvements, race results, personal bests, body composition changes, weight loss, strength gains, or other measurable outcomes. Results depend on many factors including adherence, effort, recovery, lifestyle, health status, genetics, and individual response to training.

13. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Follow instructions provided as part of the coaching service.
• Communicate honestly and promptly.
• Provide accurate information.
• Behave respectfully and professionally.
• Use coaching platforms appropriately.

14. Termination of Services

Cat Trentham Rowing reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services where a client:

• Provides false or misleading information.
• Fails to comply with safety instructions.
• Behaves in an abusive, threatening, or inappropriate manner.
• Repeatedly breaches these Terms and Conditions.

Termination of services under these circumstances does not create an entitlement to a refund.

15. Intellectual Property

All training plans, coaching materials, written content, videos, resources, website content, and digital products remain the intellectual property of Cat Trentham Rowing unless otherwise stated. Materials may not be copied, distributed, reproduced, shared, resold, or published without prior written permission.

However, no guarantee is provided regarding completeness, accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose. 17. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cat Trentham Rowing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of the website, products, or services.

18. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy available on this website.

19. Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this website and will apply from the date shown at the top of the document. Where a change materially affects clients on an ongoing subscription, reasonable notice will be given, and those clients may cancel if they do not wish to continue under the revised terms.
